Chocolates, bouquets, cards and gifts. Valentines' day is a celebration of love.

Yes, there is a dedicated day for it, but love should be celebrated everyday with loved ones. Intentional love boils down to a mindset or respect, presence and care. You always have to be consistent with your actions and prioritizing your wellbeing and the wellbeing of those you care about. We are going to look into some examples of intentional ways of loving yourself, family and loved ones.
Yourself
Prioritize Self Care
Always make time to recharge, through quiet time, a hobby, walks, shopping or exercise. You need to take care of your mental health.
Affirmations and Gratitude
Always remind yourself of what you are grateful for. Always speak positive of yourself. You are unique, loved and a wonderful masterpiece.
Family
Quality Time
Always try and make time for your family. Make time for meaningful activities or conversations that will create memories e.g. weekend outings with the kids, breakfast-lunch-dinner dates with loved ones (parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles).
Appreciation
It is vital to always express appreciation for your loved ones. Remind them often of what you love about them, how much they mean to you and why you are blessed to have them in your life.
Spouses/ Partners
Be Thoughtful
Always show kindness with small gestures e.g. A handwritten note, sending spontaneous gifts. Assisting with chores or errands.
Communicate Often
Make time to communicate as often as possible, about your thoughts, feelings, aspirations, dreams etc.
Have an amazing Valentines this Friday 😊❤️
